tde presents new tML module housing solution for Raspberry Pi 5

The company tde – trans data elektronik GmbH has optimised the module housing for the Raspberry Pi, with which the single-board computer can be integrated into the modular cabling platform tML. The redesigned tML solution for the Raspberry Pi 5 now makes handling even easier – curved edges ensure even more convenient handling and improved access to the memory card. Thanks to the smart design of the ports and cable routing, several tML Raspberry Pi 5 modules can be mounted on a 19-inch unit (U) or alternatively on the DIN rail module by means of a tML DIN rail module adapter, depending on the length of the DIN rail module. The modular concept of the tML system platform allows passive (TP or fiber optic) and active (Raspberry Pi 5) modules to be combined – ideal for applications in industrial and building automation as well as in scientific and university environments. This saves space and significantly increases packing efficiency in network distributors.

tde presents new Q-ODC fiber optic connector for extreme temperatures, vibrations, dirt and humitidy

With the new Q-ODC, tde – trans data elektronik GmbH is expanding its portfolio with an innovative fiber optic multi-fiber connector that has been specially developed for use in harsh environments. With a diameter of just 20 millimetres, the compact fiber optic connector enables versatile applications in offshore, industry, defence technology as well as temporary mobile cabling and FTTA installations.

For industry, defence and science: Robust LC duplex with metal housing

With the new Metal LC connector, the company tde – trans data elektronik GmbH presents a robust LC duplex connector with a metal housing. It is particularly suitable for use under harsh conditions, for example in industry, the defence sector or in science environments. The connector can be used with standard commercial cables as well as with special cables for industrial and military-tactical applications. It is available in single mode PC (Physical Contact), single mode APC (Angled Physical Contact) and multimode and is characterized by a superior pull strength between connector and cable. In addition, the metal locking mechanism offers high tensile strength when plugged, especially in combination with metal transceivers or adapters.

Quality ‘Made in Germany’: tde presents new video

The products of tde – trans data elektronik GmbH symbolise top quality ‘Made in Germany’. In a new video, the network specialist shows how fiber optic applications are manufactured at the ultra-modern production site in Lower Saxony and how many individual steps are required to turn individual high-quality components into a finished patch cord or trunk cable.

tde presents the future of high-speed transmission

At this year’s tech forum in Munich, tde – trans data elektronik will be showcasing the future of cabling, multi-fibre and parallel optics technology. The focus will be on the modular tML 24+ system platform for the Smart Rack, which integrates the highly compact MMC 24-fibre connector in the rear area and in the patch area, thus setting new standards in terms of packing efficiency. The network specialist will also be presenting further innovations, such as the newly designed tML Splice Module and the tML Reverse Module. The tech forum Munich will take place on 4 and 5 February 2025. As a premium sponsor, tde offers interested parties free participation with the VIP code TFM25TDE.

tde and Lantronix deepen partnership for sustainable IoT innovations

The company tde – trans data elektronik is further expanding its collaboration with Lantronix, a global leader in IoT compute and connectivity IoT solutions. The close partnership began in 1996 with Transition Networks, which is now part of Lantronix. Recently tde and Lantronix met to discuss extending its relationship into additional products that provide more solutions that its customers seek in the IoT industry.

Up to 192 fibre optic splices on 1U: tde presents tML splice module 0.5U for maximum packing density combined with new functionality

Even more efficient use of the tML system platform from tde – trans data elektronik GmbH in the data centre: The new tML splice module 0.5U for up to 24 fibre optic splices combines the impossible, enabling the highest packing density and functionality. It supports up to 192 splices per height unit and at the same time has a new feature – it can now even be spliced on the tML platform. Another functional feature is the flexible application option. It is compatible with various connectors as well as with all tML systems. The new tML splice module 0.5U is ideal for applications where pre-assembled trunk cables are either too long or unsuitable due to tight cable pathways.

Light weight and easy to handle: tMA system ensures wide bandwidths even in harsh conditions

With the tMA system, tde – trans data elektronik offers an innovative, weight-optimised solution for the flexible use of high-density cabling solutions in harsh environments. The system’s base are lens connectors with HEB technology (Hermaphroditic Expanded Beam). They are insensitive to axial displacement, contamination and vibration and can therefore also be used under rough conditions. They are supplemented by connectors of type MT 38999. A particular advantage of the system is the lightweight but robust aluminium support frame. It offers space for a NATO 380 cable drum and 1,000 metres of cable. Together with tde’s slim and lightweight fibre optic cable, the carrying frame with reel and cable weigh just 23 kilograms and can be transported by one person on their back due to its ergonomic design.

For even better handling: Patch cord tray now also with hinged front

The company tde – trans data elektronik GmbH has added a new product to the tML plug-and-play system platform portfolio: the tried and tested space-saving universal 19-inch patch cord tray is now also available in a Flex version with a hinged front. The new version’s advantage is that it makes it even easier for network technicians to neatly route patch cords directly in front of the height unit. The new tray version still offers an integrated, removable labelling option, but more conveniently. The labelling field is now integrated into the rear of the hinged cover and is large enough to document 192 ports on one height unit. The product has the usual attractive design and is compatible with both 19“ tML module racks, fixed and extendable. Due to its compact design, it supports maximum packing densities and saves the usual additional height unit for patch cord routing.

Change modules easily: tde presents unlocking tool for tML system platform

The company tde – trans data elektronik GmbH is expanding its tML portfolio with an unlocking tool. This release aid makes it even easier to change or dismantle modules in the tML system platform. It also significantly reduces assembly times when changing and removing modules. The innovative tool makes it easy to unlock and remove modules in the extendable module carrier. The result: even more flexibility and, in particular, even easier and faster handling and faster module installation when migrating to higher transmission rates and therefore more sustainability and future-proofing in the data centre.
